Repeat Prescriptions

The easiest way to order repeat prescriptions are: 

  • using the GP online system: 
    • Each patient must sign up to the service, completing a form:

Once you are registered you need to ensure you have your login details and password for future use.  

Other options for repeat prescriptions 

  • Hand the paper to the surgery Monday to Friday ensuring you put it in the box at reception area.  
  • Post your repeat paper to the surgery

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • Please allow 7 days for a prescription to be prepared
  • Please ensure you mark clearly if prescription is for collection or choose one of our local pharmacies for collection. 
  • Prescription requests can not be taken over the telephone or emailed due to potential risk of errors.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Sick Notes

If you have been off sick for 7 days or less 

Your employer should not ask for medical evidence that you have been ill.  However they can ask you to complete and return a self certication forn

Urgent advice: Well Pharmacy Alness - New Opening Hours

Please be advised that, effective Monday 23rd June 2025, the opening hours for Well Pharmacy Alness will be updated as follows:

New Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 18:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00 (Extended from a previous half-day service)
Sunday: Closed

We hope this extended Saturday service will support both patients and local healthcare providers by improving accessibility to pharmacy services over the weekend.

 

Pharmacies Alness & Invergordon

Pharamcies have qualifed healthcare professionals and pharmacists who can offer advice on medicine that you can buy without a prescription along with providing advice on minor illness.   
 
We have three Pharmacies in Alness and Invergodon.  
 
 
 
 
 
If you have unused medication which you no longer require, these can be safely disposed of at your local pharamcy.
